How HEART works
Supporting fuel poor and vulnerable households
HEART is delivered in partnership with a range of trusted referral partners such as charities, Local Authorities and energy company funders.
ABOUT
HEART works mainly with charities that support fuel poor and vulnerable households.
These charities can help qualifying households to replace old and inefficient appliances (typically appliances will be at least eight years old).

Charities offering the HEART service are responsible for confirming the eligibility of beneficiaries and ensuring they have an appliance that qualifies for replacement in some circumstances, charities can also refer households where there is no existing appliance to be replaced.

Referrals will also be taken from existing LEAP Local Authority partners, Connect for Help and from energy company funding partners.
In some cases, beneficiaries will be contacted by our HEART call centre to assess and confirm their eligibility if the evidence provided at the referral stage is not adequate.
